Dive Log – Fanous East & West

Marine Yacht | SSI Dive Center – Hurghada, Red Sea 📅 July 14, 2025 Today’s plan was to dive Turfa El Shahid and Turtle Bay, but due to strong winds and rough surface conditions, we adapted and headed to the more sheltered Fanous Reef — and it turned out to be a spectacular choice.

Dive 1: Fanous East – Dolphin Surprise & Manta Encounter

Our first dive took place at Fanous East, where calm beneath the surface met a day full of surprises. We were lucky enough to spot a dolphin early in the dive, always a magical encounter followed shortly after by a sighting of a brown manta ray gliding gracefully past the reef. The marine life was rich, and visibility remained excellent throughout the dive.

Dive 2: Fanous West – More Dolphins & Spotted Rays

Our second dive continued the excitement at Fanous West. Conditions remained favorable, and the reef offered even more sightings: another dolphin appearance and a group of spotted rays along the sandy bottom. The gentle drift made this dive an easy, relaxed experience for all divers onboard.

Flexibility Meets Reward

Although the day didn’t go according to our original plan, the Marine Yacht team adapted quickly, ensuring everyone had a safe and memorable experience. The Red Sea once again showed its magic reminding us that sometimes, the best moments come when we go with the flow.
