Marine Yacht | SSI Dive Center – Hurghada, Red Sea It was a sunny and vibrant day out on the Red Sea with Marine Yacht | SSI Dive Center. Under clear skies and calm seas, we explored two fantastic dive sites just off the coast of Hurghada: South Abu Ramada and Aruk Giftun. With excellent visibility, warm waters, and a comfortable breeze, the conditions were ideal for both recreational divers and those progressing through their SSI training.
Dive 1: South Abu Ramada – Reef Adventure & Moray Surprises
We started our dive day at South Abu Ramada, where light current and great visibility created the perfect setting for a smooth, relaxed dive. The reef was alive with color and movement. Highlights of the dive:
- Spotted over five moray eels, each nestled among coral heads and rocky crevices
- Encountered several triggerfish, patrolling their territory
- Explored coral structures full of reef fish and marine activity
South Abu Ramada continues to impress with its biodiversity and balanced conditions, making it a great site for all levels.
Dive 2: Aruk Giftun – Wreck Features & Coral Reef Life
Our second dive took us to the captivating Aruk Giftun, where sunken military tanks serve as an artificial reef and underwater landmark. With a medium current and clear water, we explored:
- The historic tanks, now home to schools of fish and coral growth
- Surrounding reef formations, offering rich marine life and natural beauty
This dive combined structure, history, and coral reef exploration, offering a unique experience that balances natural and artificial features in one site.
